They are entitled to all those things (and more) every time they hand over their hard-earned cash to that employee behind the counter. Those are the basics. Those are the minimum expectations your guest will insist upon. Those are the price of admission. To create “Raving Fans” and lifetime customers, you MUST consistently go above-and-beyond those minimum expectations. You must routinely, willingly and graciously do things that your guests don’t expect. These days, creating Raving Fans is not an option, it is a necessity for survival.
